Riyati by Agus Kontara has built an extensive career in domestic work across the Gulf region over more than two decades, accumulating experience in both Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Her journey began in 1998 in Saudi Arabia, where she worked as a housemaid for two years, performing full housekeeping duties, handling laundry and ironing, and maintaining clean, safe, and comfortable homes. She continued in Saudi Arabia from 2007 to 2009, managing daily household cleaning including sweeping, mopping, and dusting, while taking care of laundry, ironing, and assisting with basic cooking and meal service. Her expertise expanded to include childcare through various positions in the UAE, where she worked as a cook and housemaid in Al Ain from 2000 to 2002, and as a nanny in Abu Dhabi from 2003 to 2004, caring for children aged 4 and 7 years old. In her nanny role, she supervised children's activities and daily routines, prepared school uniforms, snacks, and lunches, assisted with homework and after-school care, and supported light household duties related to childcare. Most recently, from 2010 to 2012 and again from 2018 to 2025, she has worked in cleaning services for houses and apartments in Dubai, where she has provided daily care including feeding, bathing, dressing, and supervising playtime, while preparing meals and snacks for children and ensuring safe and nurturing environments.
