Zulaika

Namutebi Zulaika worked as a learning support assistant in Oman from 2017 to 2018, where she provided one-on-one individual support to special needs children and implemented individualized education plans. Her responsibilities included providing special support during games time, in washrooms, and in class, as well as helping teachers prepare learning environments for inclusion. She provided a range of learning approaches to help special needs students integrate into mainstream classes, ensured their safety and welfare while at school, and helped them during co-curricular activities and physical education. She also assisted in managing behaviors by encouraging positive conduct according to school procedures and policies.

From 2020 to 2022, she worked as a learning support assistant in Dubai, where she helped a child during therapy sessions and provided comfort when the child was upset. She supervised the child on the playground, assisted with hygiene, and helped the child understand instructions while encouraging good behavior according to established policies and procedures. She describes herself as having strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with time management abilities and patience.
