Shamim

Shamim Nakandi has built a career providing domestic and childcare services for diverse families across multiple countries. Starting in Oman from 2020-2022 with an African family, she later moved to the UAE where she worked for a local family in Abu Dhabi from 2023-2024, and most recently joined an American family in Abu Dhabi in August 2024. Throughout these positions, she has consistently served as both housemaid and nanny, developing comprehensive experience in household management and childcare.

A Ugandan national fluent in both English and Luganda, Shamim's responsibilities have encompassed a wide range of domestic duties including cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining household spaces. Her childcare experience includes meal preparation, hygiene training, educational activities, transportation to school and events, and medication management. She has focused on creating secure and nurturing environments for children while supporting their development of language and social skills through structured activities and programs.
