Chukwu Amarachi Deborah has been working as a Learning Support Assistant at Bright Riders School in the UAE since 2024, where she supports students with learning differences in mainstream classrooms. She implements strategies aligned with Individualized Education Plans and collaborates with SEN coordinators, using ABA strategies to promote positive behavior and learning outcomes. Her responsibilities include assisting with classroom planning, behavior management, and progress documentation, as well as working closely with parents to develop strategies for an inclusive learning environment. She also supervises activities such as medication administration and personal hygiene to ensure student safety.
Before this role, she worked from 2022 to 2024 as a Shadow Teacher at Ras Al Khaimah Academy, where she assisted a student with unique learning requirements in a mainstream classroom using ABA techniques and SEND strategies to enhance learning and social interactions. She communicated regularly with parents and school staff to create collaborative support systems and balanced her professional responsibilities with family obligations. Prior to moving to the UAE, she worked as a Teacher at a Government Secondary School in Nigeria from 2020 to 2022, where she developed age-appropriate lesson plans, created nurturing classroom environments, and implemented play-based activities to enhance learning experiences for young learners.
